Madikwe was without doubt our boys’ favourite place – we loved the rooms, the drives and the food! The only downside was the 5 hour road transfer, we would recommend flying if you can afford it.

We felt as if we were in heaven and it was an experience we will simply never forget. The highlight was Gregg our ranger who was exceptional with the children and his love of nature and knowledge was perfect role modelling for us all. WOW!

The staff were great and we would rate this four star plus. We liked the guides and the game drives and the food was plentiful. However massages were overpriced, TV in TV room didn’t work and we did have an ant issue so would try another resort next time.

The staff were without exception fantastic. So kind, friendly, courteous and accommodating. They genuinely do seem to welcome children, and our ranger, Justin was brilliant with our 2 boys, even stopping one day with some Plaster of Paris to make a mould of a lion’s paw print in the bush for them to bring back home which was a great thrill! He even let them "drive" the landrover a couple of times, and radio back to camp etc – all very exciting for them!

Madikwe was all that a safari lodge should be – luxurious and with great game viewing (Blair Family, August 09).

Everything you could ask for was provided – all the staff were friendly and helpful. Our ranger was fantastic and made sure our holiday was memorable (Knowles Family, Feburary 09).

Accommodation and service was fantastic. A special mention for Denise, the children’s worker for cookie making, face painting and baby sitting. Safari is certainly a challenge with children age 1 and 3 though! (Kerr-Elliott Family, Dec 08)

We stayed in December 08, had the best Christmas ever and cried when we left. The staff were exceptional and there were lots of little extra treats that made our stay even more special. We also loved the relaxed pace of it all and definately go on to ‘African time’. Marc and Brett our rangers were extremely knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure both us and the girls had the most amazing experience (Saltiel Family, Children age 10 & 14).
