Good food and helpful staff

Our chalet in Main Lodge was nice and the Reserve beautiful. We had an excellent guide / ranger and enjoyed a good mix of activities to compliment the game drives.

OK Accommodation, First Rate Ranger
by Marilyn Hughes on Thu Nov 12 20:20:01 +0000 2009

Accommodation was OK for a game lodge (bathrooms pretty basic but serviceable) and living area was great with a lovely log fire. Our ranger/guide was fantastic and the catering staff very attentive and professional. Unfortunately they weren’t geared up to help with the impact of wet weather on guests (no umbrellas in chalets and ponchos on all game drive vehicles). No cycling or walking was also possible when we were there as water buffalo had breached the electic fences so check the status of this if that is a key reason for choosing Kariega.

Fantastic Lodge
by Samantha Daniels on Mon Aug 24 08:52:00 +0000 2009

We thought Kariega Main Lodge was fantastic and received superb service. We had a fabulous, informative ranger. The food was a little disappointing (probably because it had been oustanding elsewhere) but perfectly adequate.
