Bars & Restaurants

• Blu offers contemporary Italian fare served at lunch and dinner; homemade gelati are served poolside throughout the day.
• Al Barakat offers Lebanese mezze, grill items and North African specialties. Shisha Bar serves Arabian coffee and features authentic Shisha water pipes.
• Cafe Landaa offers Asian and regional specialties from the tandoor and curry kitchen; in the evening, teppanyaki is served at a dedicated counter in a dramatic water garden adjacent to the restaurant.
• Fuego Grill is located adjacent to the seawater pool and overlooking the eastern coast of the island, Fuego Grill is open for dinner. The restaurant offers fresh catch of the day as well as a wide selection of organic and prime cut meats, salads, sandwiches and Asian dishes from an open kitchen pavilion.
• Five Degrees North – The Resort’s casual bar is named for the island’s location, which lies five degrees north of the equator. Its nautically inspired décor features a dhoni (traditional boat) as the counter, with a library, pool table and selection of board games for entertainment.
• Blu Bar – In the casual sand-floor setting of Blu Bar, enjoy exotic juices, tropical cocktails or a refreshing young coconut. As the sun sets, an aperitif or glass of sparkling Prosecco is the perfect prelude to an Italian dinner next door.
• Poolside Bar – Enjoy panoramic views of the Indian Ocean from the Poolside Bar. Wine, cocktails and refreshing tropical drinks are served throughout the day, as well as salads and light fare.

The Kuda Velaa (“Little Turtle”) Club keeps our youngest guests entertained during their stay, with exciting games, cultural craft-making, educational activities and beach fun. It is open for children from the ages of 4 to 12.

Majaa Maizan, our young adults’ centre, welcomes guests between the ages of 13 and 18. It’s the perfect place to hang out and meet new friends or catch up with old ones. Enjoy a game of pool, table tennis or table football. Watch a movie on the plasma-screen television, use the PlayStation or access the Internet. Or enjoy beach and water sports.

Babysitting can be arranged with advance notice for a charge.

Room Types

102 thatched beach and water villas feature privage plunge pools and generous outdoor living spaces. In-room amenities include CD and DVD players, private bar and satellite TV.

Due to their unique location and nature, Water Villas are only suitable for children 8 years of age and over

• Sunrise / Sunset Water Villa with / without Pool – Located along a double-loaded jetty off the northwestern end of the island, these 86 metre square villas offer separate glass-fronted living rooms and a sea-gazing loft.

• Beach Bungalow with Pool are located on the North side of the island and feature gardens with plunge pool overlooking the lagoon with separate living and sleeping areas totalling 75 square metres.

• Beach Villa with Pool – located on the South side of the island with direct access to the beach. Features of these 137 square metre villas include a 12 metre lap pool surrounded by deck and daybeds. The living area is a sand-floor open pavilion whilst the sleeping area is air-conditioned.
