• Revitalising spa treatments are also available featuring products from the Africology and Thalgo ranges.
• Rate-inclusive activities include a guided tour of the Victoria Falls from the Zambian Side (one visit per person), a cultural Simonga Village Visit tour and Game Drives to explore the game-rich Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park in open 4×4 vehicles, accompanied by a professional guide.
• Motorised Boat Safaris and Sundowner Cruises early morning or sunset river cruises are available, as well as fishing excursions on the Zambezi River, subject to water levels.
• There are many optional activities available (at additional cost) including bungee jumping, river rafting, shopping, touring the Falls, or elephant back riding. Scenic flights over four countries by helicopter are also offered.

Bars & Restaurants

The main lodge building features a raised bar, lounge area and deck incorporating an open air dining area aoverlooking the river.

Overview

Sussi and Chuma welcomes children of all ages at the Chuma Houses. At the Sussi Tree Houses children aged 9 years and older are also welcome.

Looking after younger guests

The lodge has board games available and children can make use of the pool.

Childrens meals

• There are no set menus but the Chuma Houses have their own private chef to cater to individual needs.
• Children can eat earlier should the parents wish for then to do so.

Babysitting & Supervised Activities

• There are no set children’s programme at the lodge.
• Babysitting can be provided by Lodge staff (payable locally).
• Children ages 9 plus are permitted to participate on the regular game activities, at the discretion of the Lodge Manager.
• At the Chuma Houses Children under the age of 5 years can participate in the regular game drives at the discretion of the Lodge Manager, subject to the booking and confirmation of a private vehicle.

Safety

Please note the lodges and houses are not fenced and very close to the river. Wildlife visit the lodges and surroundings and care should be taken at all times to avoid encounters with snakes and larger animals like Hippo and Elephant.

Room Types

Guest accommodation consists of 12 luxury tree-houses, built into the canopy of majestic ebony trees lining the river bank.

Facilities include air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, private viewing deck, minibar, mosquito nets, overhead fans and hairdryer.

Family

The exclusive houses offer two ensuite
bedrooms, with a bath and shower, a spacious lounge and dining room area, kitchenette, outdoor deck, and private plunge pool. Guests also benefit from their own private chef.

Rates

Rates start from £388 per person sharing at Sussi & Chuma in a standard room. Rates do vary according to season. Chuma Houses at £1,620 per night for the same period.

Family

• Children at Sussi and Chuma 9-11 years pay 50% of the adult rate.
