• Meals are also served here or on the verandah featuring creative farm-style cuisine with fresh vegetables from the desert gardens.

This lovely lodge welcomes families and children of all ages.

Children’s Meals

Children can eat the same food as their parents but in smaller portions. The Lodge can also cater for specific requests if these are made at least a week in advance.

Babysitting & Supervised activities

The lodge is quite remote and activities do require a fair amount of travelling to and from. For this reason, amongst others, families usually spend all their time together and the Lodge therefore does not offer any babysitting.

Safety

There no real danger from large animals at the Lodge but care should be taken during the day and night to avoid snakes and scorpions.

Room Types

Desert Homestead offers 20 thatched, en-suite (shower only) chalets, all luxuriously decorated in pale linens and dark wood riempie furniture, cooled by fans. Each unit has its own verandah under a latte canopy with Northern views extending to the Rotterkaum Mountains… the ideal retreat after a busy day in the dunes.

Family

Families of up to 4 can be accommodated in the thatched cottages or older children can share their own (not interconnecting).

The per person rate stars from £70 on a Bed and Breakfast basis (Valid till 31/12/11)

Family

• Children betweb 5 and 8 years pay £35.
• Children aged 4 and under stay for free.

Lights and fans are powered by solar electricity stored during the day and all bathroom products are environmentally friendly.
