Zamori
Cathedral Peak Hotel has assisted the local community to establish a Section 21 Company (not for gain) to drive development and create more momentum for poverty alleviation in the rural communities adjacent to the hotel.
While the hotel has its own programmes and a policy to employ as many local villagers as possible, the need is far greater than the demand. Through ZAMORI Cathedral Peak Hotel hopes to open other doors and help with various local needs such as grants for ID photos, helping local people to claim relatives from the mortuary for burial, basic food parcels or more tools for local schools and sporting equipment.
The Zamori committee have also arranged sports and cultural events in the villages, showcasing craft work by pensioners and keeping teenagers and young adults profitably occupied.
