The Guesthouse does not have a swimming pool but is very close to an excellent beach (Star Fish, the self catering cottage does have a private swimming pool).

Bars & Restaurants

• As there are many excellent restaurants in Plettenberg Bay, a short drive by car or taxi, the Guesthouse does not have its own restaurant.
• Guest can enjoy a drink in the Lounge with floor to ceiling windows from the Honesty Bar.

Overview

The guesthouse is a delightful base for those families looking for the convenience a great beach within walking distance, rather than having to jump in the car. Up to 2 children under 10 can share, or adjacent rooms be made available whilst those looking for additional privacy can book Star Fish Cottage.

Room types

All the en-suite rooms (mostly twins but can be made up as king double son request) are individually decorated in bright colours which reflect the surrounding sea and mountains. Six of the seven rooms have private balconies where guests can enjoy the panoramic views (and are priced accordingly). Other facilities include TV, tea and coffee facilities and Bar fridges.

Star Fish is situated 600 metres from Periwinkle and a 2 minute walk from a swimming beach. The fully equipped 4-bedroom cottage is run on a self catering basis and is set within an indigenous garden with swimming pool.

Family

• Up to 2 children under 10 can share a sofa bed in a Deluxe Room (or 1 child under 12).
• Adjacent (but not inter-connecting) rooms can also be arranged for those with older children.
• Star Fish is also ideal for larger families or groups.

Rates

Rates from £40 per adult sharing the Standard Room (no balcony) per night including breakfast (Valid 01/05/10 – 31/05/10).

Supplement of £3 per person for a Deluxe Room.

Family

• Children under 5 stay free of charge.
• Children age 5 – 11 sharing a Deluxe Room pay 50%.
• Children in their own room pay adult rates.

The guest house has recycling and water saving programmes in place and takes part in a Tree Planting project to offset carbon emissions.
