Press Release

Bushbaby Travel

Bespoke Holidays and Safaris to South Africa and the Indian Ocean

Bushbaby Travel launched in October 2004, offering bespoke family holidays and malaria-free safaris to South Africa and Mauritius.  The company was born from a desire to make exciting long haul travel a viable, safe and enjoyable family holiday option.

The appeal of far-away destinations does does not disappear when former globetrotters become parents!  However, it is not unusual for families to discount these locations as potentially too stressful and complicated with children.

Abigail Shaw, Managing Director of Bushbaby Travel, comments: "Having regularly visited South Africa before we had our son William, we were keen to return after he was born, but discovered a lack of information from existing tour operators - even finding out which hotels would allow children proved difficult, let alone those which actively welcomed families.

In addition to the usual holiday considerations, parents booking a holiday will ask, 'will the children be able to cope with the journey, will they be safe, will there be child-friendly food and facilities at the hotel and places we want to visit, will we be visiting a malarial region.and will we be able to relax and enjoy ourselves?' Bushbaby Travel is able to provide clients with answers to such questions and give parents the confidence to travel.

Since the launch many couples. including Honeymooners, have also appreciated the personal service and in-depth knowledge offered. In October 2007 Bushbaby expanded their programme to include The Seychelles Islands, Oman and Dubai.
